Transport Co-ordinator (Night Shift)
Location: Slough
Salary: £38,000 to £40,000 per annum + overtime (potential to earn an additional ~£5,000)
Hours: 4 on / 4 off – 19:00 to 07:00

Vanta Staffing are recruiting a Night Shift Transport Co-ordinator on behalf of a busy and well-established logistics company based near Heathrow. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced planner or transport professional to join a dynamic, growing operation that provides first-class logistics solutions across the UK and Europe.

You will work as part of a 24/7 operations team, ensuring the smooth running of transport and logistics functions overnight. This is a key role linking the day and night operations, requiring excellent communication, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the nightly transport plan, ensuring on-time and compliant delivery performance

  • Liaise with drivers, customers, and service partners in the UK and internationally

  • Make real-time adjustments to the transport plan as required

  • Communicate effectively with day shift colleagues to ensure smooth handovers

  • Ensure compliance with driver hours and transport legislation

  • Provide exceptional customer service, resolving issues quickly and professionally

  • Support the wider operations and planning team as needed

Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise under pressure
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in transport planning or coordination
  • Knowledge of HGV driver management and air cargo operations (preferred)
  • Good understanding of UK and European geography
  • Experience with EU-UK customs and ETSF procedures (minimum 1 year)
  • IT-literate with good knowledge of MS Office
  • Professional, reliable, and customer-focused attitude
