Supervisor – Production & Warehouse Operations

About the Role

Vanta Staffing are recruiting this role on behalf of their client, a small, well-established business seeking a dependable and proactive Supervisor to support day-to-day operations.

This is a hands-on position, ideal for someone who enjoys being involved on the shop floor, supporting colleagues, and helping maintain smooth and efficient workflows.

The role includes providing holiday cover (approximately five weeks per year), which involves driving and delivering products to clients. Outside of these periods, the focus will be on supervising production, managing stock movement, and supporting daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and support production staff

• Coordinate movement of products from warehouse to production lines

• Monitor stock levels and assist with stock control and inventory management

• Operate a forklift safely and efficiently

• Carry out client deliveries during holiday cover periods

• Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard

• Provide day-to-day supervision, problem-solving, and team support

• Maintain clear and professional communication with management and colleagues

Requirements

• Valid Forklift Licence (essential)

• Full UK Driving Licence

• Experience in warehouse operations and stock control

• Ability to supervise staff in a calm, fair, and supportive manner

• Willingness to assist with deliveries when required

• Strong work ethic with a hands-on approach
